Hello! I am Yelena Dobrynina and I am the director here at the Apple School, Early Childhood Educational Center. After owning two daycares, I am so happy that my dream has come true with the opening of a school! I have over 27 years of combined education and teaching experience in two different countries. I have two master’s degrees from my university in Ukraine in Child Education and Language Arts/World Literature. I have over 3 years of child psychology experience and 7 certifications for child development. I direct the day to day operations at the school, as well as create the enrichment programs that are the foundation to our education. To end off with a brilliant quote that sums up my teaching philosophy, “Teacher’s who love teaching, teach children to love learning.”

Hello! I am Alexander Frenkel and I am an administrator at the Apple School. I oversee all big picture operations here at the Apple School, ranging from construction to finance and various other tasks. I am also the gymnastic teacher and the sports coordinator. Along with my wife Yelena, and sons Alex and Tom, our family is focused on creating the best possible school available for the best possible kids.

Hello! My name is Tom and I am one of the teachers for the Red Apples classroom. I teach the kids Geography and Social Studies as well as various other subjects. I am currently a college student and I am also the son of the director of the Apple School, Yelena Dobrynina. I have worked with children for over the past 3 years. I take pride in teaching something to these kids that they didn’t know before they walked into our school.

Hi my name is Roman! I received my early childhood education at Cal State University Northridge. I taught preschool at Malibu ’s JC’s for 15 years before transitioning into Behavioral Intervention Services in the year 2001. I currently teach social skills and developmental skill building classes at Apple School as well as throughout the city. I am thrilled to be apart of the incredible Apple School family atmosphere. An atmosphere that aids me in my job of developing school ready skills and habits for these children to take with them throughout their bright futures.

Hello! My name is Juan and I am currently a student at UCLA and am studying to become a teacher. I am a teacher with the Red Apples classroom. I really enjoy working with kids and hope that the experience I gain here will help me later on. I have been working with Yelena Dobrynina for four years teaching English, Spanish and basic math.

Hello! My name is Jeniffer and I am a teacher in the Apple Seeds classroom. I focus on improving every child’s fine motor skills upon entry to preschool. I employ fun and creative ways to make sure that each child comprehends and recognizes letters, numbers, shapes, color, to name a few. My experience as a certified counselor has helped my knowledge and depth in children. I have over three years of experience with Yelena, and I am thankful that I am teaching first-time students skills that they will use throughout their lives.

Hello! I am Karina and I’m a Yoga teacher.It’s been known that yoga is one of the most ancient and effective forms of physical development. I do practice yoga from 2010, my training was held in Moscow by system called Iyengar-Yoga – a true classical method and maximum safe approach that helps to form a correct and natural physiology. Since 2016 I have been teaching Yoga for kids in Los Angeles. During my class hours I’m using games and associative form perceptions yoga, taking into account individually of each child and create atmosphere of creativity. Children learning how to do positions in yoga techniques such as Assana-Yoga, learning how to breathe, paired postures and relaxation. My main priority is to teach each child feel and own their body and emotions. Yoga remains for me on stretch of all years inexhaustible source of development and my goal and dream is to open a school of Yoga which will be interesting for both children and parents together, so they could jointly engage to learn Yoga. Hello! My name is Olivia! I have been at Apple School since 2014. I have a deep passion for Child development and have an Associates Degree in Social Behavioral Sciences. I am currently attending CSUN working on my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. My objective is to create a fun and happy environment that will make learning exciting and memorable for every single child I teach. I want them to be motivated and confident children as they advance throughout Apple School into the next step of their growth ladder which is the Green and Red Apple classes.

Hello! My name is Margarita .  I am happy to be a music teacher at the Apple School . I have been working as a music teacher for over 41 years. I have earned a Masters Degree in Music and a Bachelors Degree in Pedagogic and Psychology. I enjoy helping children learn about the wonderful world of music. My lessons include songs, dance, music games, and also preparation for holidays. I use the Baby Mozart methods in teaching my students. I let the children feel very comfortable in class as well as encourage warm and friendly interaction among  students by promoting the enjoyment of music.

Hello! My Name is Elena  and I am the Dance Teacher and Choreographer for all the Apple Seed classes. I have a Professional License to teach, choreograph, and perform all styles of ballroom dancing.  Some of my achievements include USA National Finalist 2005-2012 and currently World Professional Rising Star Finalist at the Embassy Ball.  I have been working with kids and adults since 2005 and I love to spread the art and knowledge of dance.  My job is not only to teach the students to dance but to enhance their coordination and rhythm to music.  I love working in professional environments and Apple School demonstrates that through the results in their students.

Hello! I am Jennifer Garcia and I am a teacher in the Golden Apples class. I am currently studying at Los Angeles Valley College and I am studying to be a children’s psychology major. I am so happy to be working at Apple School where I am able to work in a nurturing and encouraging environment that really allows me to make an impact on the kids I teach. My goal at Apple School is to assist these children in developing a strong foundation that will assist them throughout their journey at our school and beyond.

Hello! My name is Zlata and I teach Chinese at Apple School ! I have over 7 years experience learning the language and immersing myself in the culture, and almost 2 years of my studies were spent in China . Along with teaching the children the basics of the Chinese language, I also take pleasure in teaching the kids Chinese culture, geography, and calligraphy. I aspire for my activities with the children to be a fascinating and fun amount of introductory knowledge that these kids will cherish. My lessons include songs, games, and great group activities to prevent any boredom from occurring that keep the kids enthusiastic and excited for when its time to do Chinese at Apple School!

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a teacher in the Apple Seeds classroom here at Apple School. Teaching young children is my passion and have been doing so for over 5 years now. I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently attending college to get my Bachelors Degree in Teaching. Teaching here at Apple School means so much to me, every child has the opportunity to become the very best version of themselves and the staff provides the care and guidance each child needs.

Hello! My name is Kyle. I am a Child Development major and I have been working with children for over 6 years for L.A.U.S.D. as an intervention coach assisting children in small group rotations working on reading, writing, and social skills development. I have been at Apple School for almost 2 years now and my position at the school is “Seasonal Kindergarten Teacher.” My goal is to bring my experience to Apple School and assist the children by being another positive role model which will make their learning experience fun and educational, as well as making these kids transition into elementary school a smooth and incredible process!

 

 

Hello! My name is Jacqueline and I am a teacher at The Apple School. I am a current student at Cal State University Northridge and I am pursuing a career in speech pathology, specifically toward working with children with any kind of speech impairments and or language disorders. Working here at The Apple School with all of the different age groups and being able to see each child’s individual intellectual growth as they move up from each class is amazing. My goal everyday is to make sure I contribute to helping each child acquire a new skill or improve in any aspect of their daily lessons whether that be in English, Math, Spanish, etc. I am so happy to be part of such a great team that works together to make sure each child is learning and excelling in what is needed to build a strong foundation for each step in their education.

My goals are to provide guidance to children based upon careful observation of each child’s needs and to create a happy, warm and exciting environment that is inviting and comfortable for the children.

Hello! My name is Fei Wang and I am the Chinese language and culture teacher at Apple School. I have earned my first Masters Degree in Journalism and Communication from my home country and after I came to America, I have gained my second Master Degree in Fashion Design. Introducing traditional Chinese culture and guiding kids to understand the diversity of the world is amazing and meaningful. Children can not only learn a new language but also absorb the nutrient of cultural spirit. I think both the knowledge and the spirit they learned from my class are helpful to their growth. I love working with children and really enjoyed my time spending with them. I am always surprised by their strong learning passion and ability. I feel so proud of my students here and it is my honor to be part of their learning journey.

Hello! My name is Alla and I’m a teacher at Apple Seeds classroom as well as a Russian language and Literature teacher for Golden Apples, Green Apples, Red Apples and Apple Seeds classrooms. I have a child development certificate from LAVC. I’m a mother of three amazing children. I love my job and I wish for children develop and learn in ways that keeps them happy and learn more. I try to make my lessons exciting, engaging, imaginative, and fun while still providing necessary education for their growth.

Hi! My name is Claudia and I have been a teacher at the Apple School since 2018. I am currently working on my double major in Child Development and Health Administration. The best thing about working with the kids at Apple School is that I feel like I am going to a fun camp more than I feel like I am going to work. It is amazing when I realize that I am actually getting paid for something that I enjoy doing so much!

Hi my name is Rocio and I have been a teacher at the Apple School since 2018. I have a degree in Child Development through the UCLA extension program. I have over 18 years experience in the field of child development and I adore what I do. I started my career after being a volunteer at my child’s school.
